And Camden’s Royal College Street (using our planters) won Best Space for Cycling 2014
Royal College Street planters #2
Congratulations to everyone at London Borough of Camden for winning the 'Achievements in Cycling' award at the London Transport Awards 2014.
The 'light segregation' scheme gives 2m cycle lanes in both directions and uses Front Yard Company planters as the major component in this separation.
Royal College Street planters – a new cycling scheme
LB Camden ordered 60 two metre planters for their flagship Royal College Street scheme, from us at the Front Yard Company. The planters are used as part of 'light touch separation' between vehicles and cyclists/pedestrians.
As well as the planters we also provided the planting. This focusses specifically on hardy plants that are good sources of nectar, for their wildlife and biodiversity value, as well as appeal to residents.
All part of our desire to both improve cycling and biodiversity in London.
